On Monday morning, Chennai witnessed heavy rains causing horrible traffic jams in the city. At present, Anna Nagar in Chennai is one of the worst affected areas.
The Chennai District Collectorate directed all the schools in the city to send the children home an hour early.
Skymet has reported the rains will get worse across Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours. The weather service company explained two cyclones were causing the rain and stated, “One of them is currently over Southwest Bay of Bengal off South Tamil Nadu Coast and another system will be seen over Kerala coast.”
